As darkness descends, the square fills with food stalls. Visit the most beautiful palaces and monuments in Marrakech including Bahia Palace: Built in the late 19th century, the name literally means ‘brilliance’ and was intended to be the greatest Palace of its time. You will also visit the Saadian tombs, only recently discovered in 1917 and restored. The tombs have, because of the beauty of their decoration, been a major attraction for visitors of Marrakech.

Built in the 12th century, the Koutoubia Minaret is the most perfect Islamic religious structure in North Africa. The famous landmark dominates the skyline and can easily spotted from all Marrakech. Hidden away behind high walls are the Saadian Tombs. The Mausoleum displays a very high level of decoration, using traditional stucco and Granadastyle carving, typical of classical Moroccan buildings. The Bahia Palace is a masterpiece of domestic architecture which gives a good idea of how the privileged lived in the 19th century in the Imperial city. The use of marble, stucco and mosaics predominates in the apartments, opening onto courtyards filled with fountains and plant life……
